ERP/Production Scheduler

Department: Quality
Location: Livonia, MI

Delta is an AS9100 registered facility which manufactures prototype and production gears and housings to support the aerospace and defense industries.

Job Summary: Work alongside the operations team to manage production schedules and workflow using the Jobpack software system (ERP), ensuring efficient operations by monitoring and analyzing the production process and progress, identifying potential bottlenecks through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Extraction and Cleaning

  • Retrieve raw data from the ERP system, cleanse and transform it to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from the (ERP) system to identify trends, and patterns in production.
  • Generate production reports within Jobpack to analyze performance metrics such as rate achievement, efficiency, and capacity.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes based on data insights from Jobpack reports.
  • Track, gather, and evaluate employee and work center efficiency data.
  • Track, gather, and evaluate work center utilization data.

Production Scheduling

  • Utilize Jobpack to create and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and machine capacity.
  • Prioritize jobs within the system to optimize production flow and meet critical deadlines.
  • Adjust schedules dynamically on a daily basis to reflect real-time progress, delays, or changes in production requirements.

Shop Floor Monitoring

  • Help monitor real-time production status within Jobpack, tracking progress of individual operations on the shop floor.
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks or production issues through data analysis within the Jobpack system.
  • Communicate production updates to relevant stakeholders using Jobpack reporting features.

Skills/Key Competencies:

  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Populate, review, and manipulate large data sets in Excel. Advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. Meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical skills – Ability to interpret to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication with shop floor personnel, management, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Problem Solving Ability - Capability to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions efficiently.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Jobpack software or similar ERP software.
  • 2 or more years of college or experience in related field preferred.
  • Comfortable in dealing with complicated software and technology.
  • 2+ years of experience in production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

  • Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
